Which court serves you

Aldershot sits in the Borough of Rushmoor in Hampshire, and there is no family court in the town — the Aldershot Magistrates' Court building no longer takes family business. Family cases for Aldershot and Rushmoor are heard at the Guildford County Court and Family Court, The Law Courts, Mary Road, Guildford GU1 4PS — a short journey from Aldershot, confirmed on gov.uk's Find a Court or Tribunal (https://www.gov.uk/find-court-tribunal/courts/guildford-county-court-and-family-court). Court open Mon–Fri 9am–4pm; counter by appointment only. Telephone enquiries (HMCTS National Contact Centre) 0300 123 5577 (Mon–Fri 8.30am–5pm); Divorce Contact Centre 0300 303 0642 (Mon–Fri 10am–6pm). Family court email (including C100 applications): surreyfamily@justice.gov.uk; non-molestation applications: surreynonmol@justice.gov.uk; civil: surreycivil@justice.gov.uk. See our children's services south & south-east page. Cafcass covers Hampshire in its South Central region — see our Cafcass South Central page.

Getting there

Guildford's Law Courts are on Mary Road (GU1 4PS), about 10–15 minutes' walk from Guildford railway station, with regular South Western Railway services from Aldershot station (around 15–25 minutes, changing at Ash Vale or direct on some timetables). Local buses also connect Aldershot and Farnborough to Guildford town centre. There is no customer parking at the court — use nearby public car parks such as Bedford Road. Plan to arrive well before your listed time — security takes longer than most people expect on a first visit.
