Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal data YourFamilyCase (yourfamilycase.co.uk) collects, why, and your rights under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Last updated 21 October 2026.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Noverquis Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17521667. Contact us about your data at support@evidencecanvas.co.uk.
If you only read the site
- We do not set cookies, and we do not use analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
- Our web host records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) to run the site securely and to deal with abuse. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.
- The pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers and sends your IP address to Google. Google's own privacy policy applies to that connection.
If you use the listing form
The form on our For business page lets family-law professionals ask to be listed. It collects:
- the practice name, its SRA number or Companies House number, a work email address and, if you give it, a website;
- the page you would like to appear on, the page you sent the form from, the date and time, and the listing reference we give you;
- a shortened one-way code made from your IP address, stored with the request, and an hourly counter, both used only to stop the form being abused (the counter limits the number of requests in an hour). We do not keep your IP address itself.
We use these details to reply to you about a listing and, if you buy one, to publish and manage it. A published listing card shows the practice name, its SRA or Companies House number with a link to the official register, and its website. It never shows your email address. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing that contract, and our legitimate interest in replying to business enquiries and preventing abuse of the form.
If you buy a listing
Listings are sold by Noverquis Ltd. Payments are taken by Stripe, our payment provider. Stripe collects your card details, name, email address and billing details to take payment and send receipts; we never see your card details. Stripe's own privacy notice applies to that: stripe.com/gb/privacy. From Stripe we use the payment and subscription references, the plan, whether the subscription is active, and the listing reference you enter at checkout, to put your card live and take it down when the subscription ends. Our lawful basis is performing our contract with you and our legal duty to keep accounting records.
Links to EvidenceCanvas
Links from this site to EvidenceCanvas include tags that tell EvidenceCanvas you came from YourFamilyCase and from which kind of page. The tags do not identify you. If you create an EvidenceCanvas account, the EvidenceCanvas privacy notice applies to that account. YourFamilyCase and EvidenceCanvas are both owned by Noverquis Ltd.
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. Our web host stores the site, its server logs and listing requests on our behalf. Stripe processes payments as described above. Amazon Web Services hosts the server that checks payments with Stripe; only payment and listing references pass through it. Our host's servers may be outside the UK; where data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards the UK GDPR allows for such transfers. We share data with others only if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Listing requests: deleted automatically 12 months after we receive them, unless the request led to a paid listing.
- Paid listings (the request, the listing and our record of its payments): kept while the listing runs, then deleted automatically 6 years after it ends, for accounting and tax purposes. Stripe keeps its own payment records under its own privacy notice.
- Hourly abuse-prevention counters: deleted automatically after 24 hours. The shortened code stored with a listing request is deleted with the request.
- Server logs: kept by our host for a limited period for security, then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it or send it to you in a portable form. You can object to our use of your data where we rely on legitimate interests. Email support@evidencecanvas.co.uk. We will reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have used your data, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, helpline 0303 123 1113.
