About YourFamilyCase
YourFamilyCase is a free information directory for people in England and Wales who are dealing with the family court, often without a lawyer. It covers court venues, court processes, support services and how to find regulated professionals.
Who runs this site
YourFamilyCase is run by Noverquis Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17521667.
YourFamilyCase and EvidenceCanvas are both owned by Noverquis Ltd. EvidenceCanvas is a paid online tool, with monthly plans and one-off options, that helps people who represent themselves organise their evidence and prepare their own documents. Some pages on this site include a clearly marked section about EvidenceCanvas with a link to it. EvidenceCanvas is not a law firm and does not give legal advice.
What "independent" means here
- We are not part of, or endorsed by, HM Courts & Tribunals Service, the courts, gov.uk, Cafcass or the Child Maintenance Service.
- We take no referral fees from any solicitor, mediator, barrister or McKenzie friend.
- Firms can pay for a featured listing. Any paid placement is clearly labelled as advertising, and it does not change the information we publish about courts or processes.
- We are not independent of EvidenceCanvas: the same company owns both sites.
How the pages are made
Court details come from the public HMCTS court register and gov.uk. Pages are written with the help of software, including AI tools, and checked against those official sources. Each page shows the date it was last checked. Where a named person, Sean McNamara, has reviewed a page, that page says so and gives the date. Where a page does not name a reviewer, we do not claim that a person has reviewed it.
Nothing on this site is legal advice. Always check the current position with the court or on gov.uk, and get advice from a qualified adviser about your own case. If you can get legal aid, consider that first.
